『musician || engineer-producer || animator』

caught dancing to a lofi anime fever dream

Miles Senzaki (a.k.a. Point Lobo) is a producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist known for his wide-ranging collaborations, hypnotic animations, and kaleidoscopic lofi aesthetic. In addition to his own releases as an artist and animator, he has worked closely with Beastie Boys' keyboardist Money Mark, Japanese superstars Atarashii Gakko, and hip-hop legends The Pharcyde.

Senzaki began his journey as a professional studio drummer, studying under jazz luminaries Billy Higgins and Kenny Burrell. After moving to LA from San Francisco, he found himself drumming for local funky-soul favorites Breakestra; soon he was touring with hip-hop icons The Pharcyde, all the while building his recording studio (Grandma’s Dojo) and honing his craft as a recording, mixing, and mastering engineer.

As Point Lobo, he quickly became a go-to composer for creators on Comedy Central, Hulu, YouTube, and numerous podcasts (including 'The End of the World' with Josh Clark, of Stuff You Should Know). After scoring his first feature film, he was inspired to create a visual universe for own music, teaching himself 3D animation using the free software Blender.  This lead to him animating and directing a music video for viral funk-wizards Vulfpeck, as well as scoring 'Infinite Journeys', a massive collaborative compilation of the internet’s leading 3D-Art animators (produced by Clinton Jones of Corridor Crew).

As a studio engineer, Point Lobo is a close collaborator with Money Mark (The Beastie Boys, Beck, David Byrne), with whom he recorded and mixed the soundtrack for Jake Sumner’s Tribeca-premiered documentary 'Ron Delsener Presents' (2023), and engineered two singles for Japanese international pop phenoms Atarashii Gakko. Point Lobo is also the personal mix engineer for comedian Josh Johnson (The Daily Show), mixing and mastering music for Johnson's Comedy Central special, albums, and social media videos.

Currently Point Lobo is working on a new full-length album and touring as the drummer for lofi-pop ensemble veronicovon; he is also the mix engineer on Bernie Worrell's posthumous LP, as well as Josh Johnson’s upcoming album. Most recently, he was a guitarist, percussionist, and recording engineer on Atarashii Gakko’s new single 'Forever Sisters'.
